Who would have thought that making lip balm and body butter was this easy

This is how happy my friend Nuala and I left the natural cosmetics workshop Mayca from Wapo Beauty taught last Saturday.
I like using natural cosmetics when possible so it was time to learn how to make a few! I was surprised to see how little ingredients are needed and how easy it can be. We started by making some lovely ginger & orange bath cookies. Ideal for anybody with dry or dehydrated skin but a treat for anyone.

Just made bath cookies – leave for a while to harden, package nicely and ready to make a nice present for somebody

Then my favourite, lip balm. A little bit of oil, cocoa butter, beeswax and essential oils and after 20 minutes we had 12 little pots of glittery balms. I´m definitely doing this ones again soon with my favourite essential oils.

Counting essential oil drops.

A last but not least, fabulous whipped body butter made with Shea butter, oil and essential oils. I carry it in my bag now, it is ideal as hand cream too.
It was great to see how easy it is to make really nice products with natural and nourishing ingredients. The best is that they are very easy to personalise by using your favourite essential oils.

Thank you to all the small businesses who send things for our goodie bags!
